Blades eyeing Doherty
Sheffield United have been linked with Norwich City defender Gary Doherty.
Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock is seemingly interested in landing defender Gary Doherty from Norwich City.The Blades have been busy in the transfer market of late, with the Bramall Lane club having snapped up striker Luke Beckett from Stockport Country earlier this month.
Reports are now suggesting that Warnock has turned his attentions to Republic of Ireland defender Doherty, who only moved to The Canaries from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.
The 24-year-old signed a three-year contract with the East Anglian outfit, with an option to extend the deal beyond that period.
It remains to be seen if the prospect of a drop into The Championship with the South Yorkshire side would appeal to the defender.
