Ganea boost for Wolves

Vio Ganea could play again this season according to Wolves' physio.

Championship outfit Wolves have been boosted with the news that Vio Ganea could play again this season.

The Romanian striker suffered cruciate ligament damage during Wolves' pre-season trip to Norway and it had been feared that he would miss the whole of the current campaign.

However, Wolves physio Barry Holmes has now confirmed that the influential forward could make an ahead-of-scheduled return.

"We would be looking at getting Vio involved in training in the New Year, probably around February time,'' Holmes told the club's official website.

''As long as he continues to progress well then I see no reason why Vio couldn't take part in some games before the season is out.

''Once back on track then we are hopeful of him training fully again come February.

''If all went well we'd be looking at weeks rather than months from that point."

Meanwhile, fellow striker George Ndah is to visit Germany to be treated by sports injury specialist, Dr Muller-Wohlfahrt, in a bid to recover from a problematic calf strain.
