Preston are poised to complete the capture of Rotherham winger Chris Sedgwick.
Preston North End are poised to complete the capture of Rotherham United winger Chris Sedgwick after he agreed terms at Deepdale. The two Championship clubs have concurred on a fee in the region of £300,000 for Sedgwick, who had spent his entire career at Millmoor.
Sedgwick has made over 250 appearances for The Millers but the club's financial difficulties have prompted the sale to Preston.
The 24-year-old discussed personal terms with The Lilywhites on Monday and he has reached an accord with Billy Davies' side.
Preston had been linked with the wide man last week, with Sedgwick admitting he would require an increase on his Rotherham wages to leave South Yorkshire.
The Deepdale outfit appear to have put together a suitable package for Sedgwick, who is now close to completing the formalities of his transfer.
Sedgwick only signed a new three-year contract with Rotherham at the start of the campaign but is now due to sever his ties with the club.
