Monaco want Morientes sign
Monaco chairman Michel Pastor wants Fernando Morientes to show his desire to return.
Monaco chairman Michel Pastor has urged Fernando Morientes to show his desire to return to the Principality club. The Spanish forward is frustrated at his lack of action at Real Madrid and said recently that he would love to return to Monaco.
Morientes, who has also been linked with a move to Genoa, claimed he had unfinished business at Monaco and urged the club to step in for him in January.
Monaco say they have not spoken to the forward recently, but would welcome him back to the club if he showed real desire to return.
"Everyone is talking about that, but I don't have any contact with the player," Pastor told L'Equipe. "He left Monaco with sadness, as he got used to the atmosphere.
"Everyone wants him to come back and if he can do it one day, I will tell you.
"I read that he is attracted. But if he is, he has to show it. Then we will see if the Principality can accept the conditions."
