Melbourne Victory are hoping Millwall's Kevin Muscat finishes his playing career with them. The Australian defender recently stated he wanted to end his playing days back home and the A-League are keen to secure his services.
Melbourne's head of operations Gary Cole has revealed the club are hoping to make contact with the player with a view to agreeing a deal.
"We will make contact," said Cole.
"He's got a nice bit of mongrel in him which would ensure those around him don't accept defeat too easily."
Muscat currently has over a year left on his deal with The Lions and Victory would need to pay a fee should they want to bring him in before his contract expires.
