QPR trial Swedish keeper

QPR have handed a trial Swedish goalkeeper Eddie Gustafsson.

The 27-year-old is expected to appear for the West London club in a specially arranged reserve match on Tuesday after leaving Norwegian club Molde.

Loftus Road manager Ian Holloway is keen to find a new keeper after number two Nicky Culkin was sidelined recently through injury.

The former IFK Stockholm and IFK Norrkoping custodian narrowly missed out on a place in Sweden's Euro 2004 squad, but has been called in for the Scandinavian country's recent World Cup qualifiers.

The free agent will hope to impress The R's with his abilities during Tuesday's reserve match.
