Takak salvages RKC draw

RKC Waalwijk left it late to earn themselves a 2-2 draw with Vitesse Arnhem.

RKC Waalwijk left it late to earn themselves a 2-2 draw with Vitesse Arnhem on Friday evening.

Jasar Takak's strike in the dying stages at Mandemakers Stadion denied Vitesse the opportunity to move into the top five in De Eredivisie.

It was Vitesse that took the lead into the break - thanks to a Stijn Schaars strike nine minutes before half time.

Jason Oost then levelled matters for RKC on 68 minutes before Vitesse restored their lead with three minutes left through Matthew Amoah (pictured).

The home side, however, earned a point when Takak made it 2-2 in injury time.
