Depor star in Qatar link

Qatar-based club Al Ain have reportedly targeted Deportivo La Coruna veteran Fran.

The 35-year-old will be out of contract next summer and has hinted he will hang up his boots.

However, it now seems he will receive a lucrative offer to extend his playing days in the Middle East.

Al Ain, managed by French coach Alain Perrin, already have a Depor player in their ranks having taken Paraguayan midfielder Roberto 'Toro' Acuna on loan this season.

Fran has spent his entire career at Deportivo and is now in his 17th season at the club.

The left-sided midfielder has thus far refused to comment on the speculation linking him with a switch to Qatar.
