O'Shea rules out United exit

Manchester United ace John O'Shea has ruled out leaving Old Trafford.

Manchester United ace John O'Shea has ruled out leaving Old Trafford.

The Republic of Ireland international has been strongly linked with a move away from United when the transfer window reopens in January.

Newcastle United are believed to be keen on the versatile performer, but O'Shea has no plans to leave and is determined to fight for his place in Sir Alex Ferguson's side.

O'Shea has not started a Premiership game since the draw with Middlesbrough in October and the Irishman accepts the competition at United.

"There is no way I am leaving Old Trafford," O'Shea told MUtv.

"I am definitely staying, without a doubt, and, fingers crossed, I will be here for a long time to come.

"When you are playing for Manchester United, you are going to face pressure.

"I have faced it before, no doubt I will face it again in the future.

"What you have to do is make sure when you get a chance, you put the manager under pressure not to leave you out."
