CUP KINGS
I was wondering if you could settle an argument between me and a mate. I'm a Villa fan and he's a Blues fan. He refuses to believe that Aston Villa hold the all-time record for goals scored in the FA Cup. Could you put him right? Rob Pass, Lichfield
That's a good question, Rob, and one I had to contact my friends at the FA to find the answer to. They confirmed that you are spot on; Aston Villa are indeed the top scorers in the FA Cup. Gareth Barry's goal against Manchester United in the third round of last season's competition was their 788 in the Cup, which is a record by some way.
WHITE HART PAIN
Hello Martin, could you settle an argument that me and a friend where having whilst watching Villa vs Spurs on Monday night.  I believe that since the beginning of the Premiership Spurs have only finished above Villa in the league once.  He, being a Spurs fan, strongly disagrees.  Could you please prove me right, and help me win a couple of quid, thanks a lot. Matthew Hawkins, Cheltenham.
What is it with you Villa fans and bets with your mates? I'm afraid in this case you are wrong, Matthew. In ten of the last 12 seasons Aston Villa have finished above Tottenham, but on two occasions the north London club have come out on top. In 1994/95 Spurs finished 7th and Aston Villa finished 18th - one above the drop zone (there were 22 clubs in the division at the time). Two season ago (2002/03) Tottenham also finished above Villa (on that occasion Spurs were 10th and Villa were 16th).
SWEET AND STEAUA
We know that Arsenal hold the English top-flight record for the longest league unbeaten run, but what's the world record over all divisions? Ben Winfield, Northumberland.
Well Ben, Arsenal's 49-game unbeaten run is some way short of Steaua Bucharest's world record 104 matches without defeat. The Romanian side began their winning streak at the start of the 1986-87 season and did not lose another match until September 1989. However it is worth taking their run, which included 86 victories, with a pinch of salt as the club - and the league for that matter - were run as one of Romania's dictator Nicolae Ceaucescu's hobbies.
MORAN'S STILL THE ONLY MAN
Is Kevin Moran the only player to have been sent off in the FA Cup Final? Sunder, Hong Kong
Yes Sunder, he is. As you probably know Kevin Moran was sent off for a challenge on Peter Reid in the 1985 Cup Final, in a match Manchester United went on to win 1-0. To date he remains the only player to have seen red in the season's showpiece.
SAINTS MARCHING THEM IN AND OUT
Can you please tell me which current club in the Premiership has had the most managers since the Premier League began. My money is on Southampton! Simon Brown, Basingstoke
You're right Simon, Southampton have chalked up ten bosses since 1992, which is more than any other Premiership club. For the record those ten men were: Ian Branfoot (92-94); Alan Ball (94-95); Dave Merrington (96-96); Graeme Souness (96-97); Dave Jones (97-00); Glenn Hoddle (00-01); Stuart Gray (01); Gordon Strachan (01-04); Paul Sturrock (04) and Steve Wigley. If you factor in that Lawrie McMenemy, Stuart Gray and Steve Wigley have all had spells as caretaker managers, you could consider the tally even higher.
MAKING HIS MARK
Regarding the PSV against Arsenal game on Wednesday night. I was very frustrated that two of our players were sent off in what I thought was not a very dirty game at all. Could you please tell me how many fouls Mark Van Bommel committed without getting a yellow card? Ryan Kersey, Potters Bar.
To be honest, I didn't keep a count, Ryan. But, speaking to people from Arsenal when we were with them for the Liverpool match on Sunday, the general consensus was that Van Bommel committed eight fouls without receiving a yellow card.
