PSG confirm Saha desire

PSG boss Vahid Halilhodzic confirmed his interested in signing Louis Saha on loan.

Paris Saint Germain boss Vahid Halilhodzic has confirmed that he is interested in signing Manchester United striker Louis Saha on loan.

PSG have been linked with a swoop on The Premiership as they look to add more firepower to the squad.

Parc des Princes boss Halilhodzic does not have the funds available to buy a big name so a loan deal is the obvious choice.

United marksman Saha has struggled with his fitness this season, with the presence of Wayne Rooney, Alan Smith and Ruud van Nistelrooy not helping his chances of football.

The former Fulham man wants to prove himself at Old Trafford but both he and the club may feel he would benefit from some regular first team action back in France.

Halilhodzic admits that he would like to bring in Saha on a loan deal.

"Louis Saha is a great player, a good striker and PSG are looking for a striker," the Bosnian coach told TF1 television.

"He is welcome at PSG if he wants to come. The main problem for PSG is we do not have money to buy a player.

"The only solution for PSG is to take a player on loan and anyway I need a striker to give more competition up front in my team."

PSG have also been linked with a move for Tottenham striker Fredi Kanoute should their bid for Saha fail, with Martin Jol unhappy with his recent displays.
