Savio could quit Zaragoza

Real Zaragoza star Savio is not certain he will sign another contract with the club.

Real Zaragoza star Savio admits he is not certain he will sign another contract with the club when his current deal expires at the end of the season.

The former Real Madrid star has proved a big success since joining the Tarragona-based outfit at the beginning of last term from Bordeaux.

He has established himself as a fixture on the left hand side of midfield, and already has six goals to his name this term.

However, he only has six months left on the two-year deal he signed and admitted that he was aware other clubs are interested in him.

The 31-year-old insists his priority remains to stay at La Romareda, but has not yet discussed a new deal with the club.

"I am calm," he told Marca. "One always thinks about the future but I am very focused on my job.

"I am not going to say now that I am going to renew my contract with Zaragoza because it is a delicate matter.

"I have still not received any official offers, but there are clubs interested in me. However, I am very happy here.

"Zaragoza showed their interest in me and gave me an opportunity and I am trying to pay that back on the pitch.

"My priority is Zaragoza because that is the team I play for. If I have to sit down with them of course I will.

"But there are still six months left until my contract finishes and it is best to wait for a bit."
