Espanyol fearing United move
Espanyol are looking to increase Carlos Kameni's buy-out clause.
Espanyol are keen to ward off reported interest from Manchester United in keeper Carlos Kameni.
The Cameroon international continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford as scouts from Manchester have been spotted regularly watching the Barcelona side in action.
The Catalan club's form has been outstanding as they currently lie in second place in the Liga table, with only local rivals Barcelona above them in the rankings.
Espanyol are determined to increase Kameni's buy-out clause as it currently stands at an affordable é¼6 million.
The Montjuic outfit have the joint-best defensive record in La Liga and, although their African shot-stopper is still under contract until 2007, they are growing a little concerned at the terms of his deal.
Spanish sources claim United are willing to offer money plus reserve team keeper Ricardo in exchange for Kameni, although Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted he is not looking for a new number one.
The 20-year-old, for his part, is happy in Spain and has no desire to leave.
"I am well," he told Marca. "We will see what happens but I am with Espanyol and I came here to give my best.
"I love the city; I enjoy it here."
