Kiddy in transfer scramble

Kidderminster Harriers have enjoyed a hectic pre-Christmas transfer scramble.

Kidderminster Harriers have enjoyed a hectic pre-Christmas transfer scramble.

Stuart Watkiss has swooped for Blair Sturrock and Liam Burns and also considered Narada Bernard and Steve Hayward's merits.

Sturrock will help fill in the void left by Pedro Matias's exit and leaves Plymouth for a fresh start at Aggborough.

"I've watched him play a number of times and he's a useful player," Watkiss told the club's official website.

Irish defender Burns joins on non-contract forms after being released by Shrewsbury Town.

Bernard is to remain with Welling United after an unsuccessful trial with Kidderminster, while ex-Fulham midfielder Hayward was unable to be put through his paces due to an illness.
