Lennie: Inamoto by Thursday

Cardiff City want midfielder Junichi Inamoto to arrive on loan by Thursday.

Cardiff City boss Lennie Lawrence wants to complete the loan signing of West Bromwich Albion midfielder Junichi Inamoto by Thursday.

Lawrence has opened talks to bring the Japan international to Ninian Park and is keen for the former Arsenal and Fulham player to train with the South Wales outfit by the week's end.

Inamoto played 70 minutes for his country in last Thursday's friendly with Germany in Yokohama, having returned from a broken leg he sustained in a friendly against England in Manchester in June.

With the player currently down the pecking order with The Baggies, Lawrence is ready to take Inamoto on loan, providing he arrives in time to train with the club before they face Watford next Tuesday.

"If it's going to happen, then I want everything completed by Thursday," Lawrence claimed.

One player that has signed for the club is Finnish midfielder Toni Koskela.

The 21-year-old has put pen-to-paper with The Bluebirds following a successful trial.

Koskela appeared in the club's reserves on Tuesday and scored against their counterparts from Portsmouth.

Cardiff have also been running the rule over Swansea City defender Jamie Rewbury.

Rewbury appeared in Tuesday's friendly after debuting in Cardiff's last reserve match against Bournemouth reserves.
