Feyenoord have swooped to sign Ali Boussaboun from NAC Breda, with the forward set to arrive on a free transfer in the summer. The 25-year-old's contract with NAC was due to expire in the summer and Feyenoord have stepped in.
NAC said recently that they would not be forced into accepting a derisory offer for the striker and it would appear as if he will stay in Breda for the rest of the season before moving to Rotterdam in the summer.
All that stands between Boussaboun and a four-year contract is a medical, but it is expected to pass off without a hitch.
The fleet-footed striker has netted nine goals this term and will look to improve on his record in Rotterdam when he joins the Kuip giants in the summer.
Feyenoord, meanwhile, have been dealt a blow with the news that Japanese midfielder Shinji Ono is set to be sidelined for six weeks.
The influential midfielder has been troubled by an ankle injury for some time and has been sent for surgery in a bid to alleviate the problem.
