Ball back in Gers picture

Michael Ball looks to be back in the first-team frame at Rangers.

Michael Ball is ready to relaunch his Rangers career after the SPL giants renegotiated his transfer with Everton.

The England cap had found himself out in the cold at Ibrox because he has neared the 60-game mark for The Gers which would trigger an additional £500,000 payment on the £6.5 million fee to Everton.

However, the two clubs have now restructured the transfer meaning that such a substantial immediate payment will not now be necessary.

Ball is delighted by the news which should now see him return to Alex McLeish's first-team plans.

"I would like to thank both Rangers FC and Everton for working together to sort out this situation which has now all been agreed," he told the club's official website.

"I would like to confirm that I will be giving 100 percent to Rangers Football Club and the focus is to get back into the first team."
