Carragher accuses Riley

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has launched a scathing attack on referee Mike Riley following his failure to award a penalty in the defeat to Chelsea.Carragher believes Riley has been guilty of two major mistakes which could tilt the Premiership title race in Chelsea's favour.
Riley's failure to award a penalty when Tiago handled the ball inside the box during the win over Liverpool on New Year's Day infuriated Carragher who carried on his protests to the referee during the half time interval.
Carragher also highlighted the debatable penalty Riley awarded Manchester United against Arsenal which ended Arsenal's unbeaten 49-match record and he believes Riley is not fit to take charge of the big games.
"He has got it wrong in the two big games he has refereed this season and those two decisions could prove the difference between Arsenal or Chelsea winning the league," said Carragher.
"If Arsenal had got the right decision at Old Trafford, who knows what might have happened then?
"Top games need top refs. And with those mistakes the FA have to ask whether this referee should be up there.
"He was in a great position to see what happened in our game.
"He was putting his whistle into his mouth and I don't know if he lost his nerve or what."
