Owen buoyed by 'crazy' win
Michael Owen labelled Real Madrid's victory over Real Sociedad as 'crazy'.
Michael Owen has described Real Madrid's victory in their rearranged game with Real Sociedad as 'crazy'.The sides met up on Wednesday evening to play the final seven minutes of a game that was abandoned in December due to a bomb hoax at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real emerged triumphant in the bizarre encounter after Zinedine Zidane converted a penalty that had been won in the first minute of stoppage time by Ronaldo.
While welcoming the unusually won three points, Owen admitted the game had been a strange experience.
"It was a crazy match," he conceded.
"We played seven minutes as if the world depended on it at 200 percent.
"It was a very important three points as it demonstrates the we can still challenge for the title.
"The victory is a great morale boost."
