Chelsea have completed the signing of Czech international Jiri Jarosik from CSKA Moscow.Skysports.com first broke the news of Chelsea's interest in December and after a few days of talks - a deal has now been sealed.
The 27-year-old put pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half year deal with The Blues on Thursday morning after completing all his medicals.
Chelsea have decided to push through a permanent deal after initially looking for a loan move.
"Jarosik gives Mourinho a player who has universality and character," said the player's agent Viktor Kolar.
"Anyone who knows Jiri, knows that Mourinho hasn't made a bad choice.
"It is a fact, that Mourinho really doesn´t want to have 30 players, but only 23 - all of which he could be put in the line-up every time and he calculates Jarosik to be among those 23."
Jarosik added: "I'm very happy and proud to have joined a club like Chelsea.
"It's like a dream come true for me. I hope I will become an important part of the squad and help Chelsea to achieve its goals for the season.
"It's a great challenge for me and I'm really looking forward to the opportunity."
