English return for Bakayoko?

Osasuna striker Ibrahima Bakayoko has been linked with a return to The Premiership.

Osasuna striker Ibrahima Bakayoko has been linked with a return to The Premiership.

The Ivory Coast international has been told to look for pastures new after the Basque club informed the 28-year-old he would not be offered a new contract.

The former Everton and Marseille man has reportedly become a target for three Premiership clubs - with Southampton, Portsmouth and West Bromwich Albion thought to be monitoring the African's situation at El Sadar.

Bakayoko previously missed out on a move back to English football with Championship side Wolves in the summer.

Despite recent links with Segunda Liga club Murcia, the striker could yet find himself back in England during this month's transfer window.

Osasuna president Patxi Izco confirmed that Bakayoko had received contact from certain clubs, but he would not confirm which sides are interested in the striker.
