PSG eye van Bommel

Paris Saint Germain have enquired about Mark van Bommel.

PSG coach Vahid Halilhodzic is a big fan of the combative Holland international, and would love to lure him to Le Championnat.

Van Bommel is out of contract in the summer and free to hold talks with clubs, but is unlikely to be short of options.

Several English clubs have taken an interest in Bommel in the past three years, but his loyalty to PSV has kept him in the Netherlands.

The Dutchman is one of the biggest earners at the club, and will be keen to enhance his salary should he leave Eindhoven.

This would put him well out of PSG's wage bracket, and the player is reportedly not keen on the French league anyway.
