Dowie: No keeper contact
Iain Dowie has stated that no club has been in touch with him regarding Gabor Kiraly.
Crystal Palace manager Iain Dowie has stated that no club has been in touch with him regarding the capture of in-form keeper Gabor Kiraly. The Hungary international, who has starred for The Eagles in The Premiership this term, has been linked with a move across London to Arsenal.
Dowie feels Kiraly is happy at Selhurst Park and has not been informed by the keeper that his future lies anywhere other than Palace.
"No offer has been made to this club so far," said Dowie to Sky Sports News.
"Gabor has done really well for us. We talk about good signings for us and he has done brilliantly for us.
"He's very much at home here. We have a good working relationship. He's certainly not intimated that he'd like to be anywhere else.
"I think it's people putting two and two together and making 25."
Meanwhile, Dowie was desperate for Ecuador international Ivan Kaviedes to succeed at the club, but felt he was too much of a luxury.
"It was more my fault than anyone else's," he added. "Ivan came in when it was probably too early in our development.
"There is no question that Ivan is a talented footballer - he is an icon in Ecuador and their stand-out player.
"I just felt that in our development as a Premiership club, we couldn't really cope with having a luxury player at this time."
