MK suffer Tapp trauma

MK Dons have been dealt a massive blow with Alex Tapp ruled out for the season.

Milton Keynes Dons have been dealt a massive blow as midfielder Alex Tapp has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The 22-year-old ruptured the anterior cruciate ligaments in his left knee in a reserve game against Luton, and now faces a long spell on the sidelines.

Tapp, who started his career at the club, has undergone surgery and initial estimates suggest a nine-month lay-off is on the cards.

The January winter has again proved harsh for Tapp, who only returned to the side in October following an identical injury this time last season.

This serious knock back will also deal a hammer blow to The Dons' chances of survival with the club currently one point from safety in League One.
