Blackburn have completed the capture of Robbie Savage from Birmingham.
Blackburn Rovers have completed the capture of Robbie Savage from Birmingham City. The Wales international has joined the Ewood Park outfit on a three-and-a-half year deal.
Savage, who will be unveiled to the media on Friday, could make his Rovers debut against Bolton on Monday, live on Sky Sports 1.
Rovers saw two bids rejected by Blues for the midfielder's services before the St Andrews outfit finally accepted an improved offer for the 30-year-old.
Birmingham were reluctant to allow Savage to leave, but were forced to concede his future lay elsewhere after he revealed he wanted to be nearer his family in Wrexham.
Blackburn are understood to have paid around £3 million for Savage's services.
Meanwhile, Rovers midfielder Barry Ferguson has been warned about his future conduct by The FA.
The Scotland international ace was involved in a bust up with Crystal Palace's Fitz Hall last month at Selhurst Park.
