Bradford City defender Wayne Jacobs is set to retire at the end of the season. The full back has decided to hang up his boots after being told he was being released by Bradford.
Jacobs - the club's longest serving player - revealed he opted to hang up his boots as he could not imagine playing for another club.
"I don't want to play anywhere else. Bradford City are my club, and if I am going to finish, I want to do it here," Jacobs told The Bradford Telegraph & Argus.
"I am not interested in playing for another professional side. I would have played another season if the club has asked me but I accept their decision.
"They are rebuilding for the future and while it is very frustrating, I respect that they want to change things around."
