Rangers have sealed the signing of Greek defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos. The highly-rated defender has penned a deal at Ibrox after thrashing out personal terms and passing a medical.
Rangers had agreed a £1.75 million deal with Panathinaikos earlier this week and now they have finally agreed a deal with the player.
Kyrgiakos will help fill the void left by Jean-Alain Boumsong's departure to Newcastle.
The 25-year-old will not make his debut this weekend against Aberdeen as he returned to Greece to tie up a few things before moving to Glasgow.
The Greece international was delighted to be moving to Ibrox and has set his sights on winning the SPL title.
"I am very pleased to have signed for Rangers," Kyrgiakos told the club's official website.
"The last few days of discussions have been tiring and I am flying to Athens this evening to prepare myself properly for coming back to Glasgow next week to help Rangers win the championship.
