Stoke shun second Blades bid

Stoke City have rejected Sheffield United's second offer for Ade Akinbiyi.

A number of clubs are considering a move for the former Leicester City star - but The Blades have had a second bid turned down, after having their original offer turned down at the weekend. 

"We have received a second bid from Sheffield United which we have again rejected," said Stoke director of football John Rudge.

The 30-year-old is also wanted by Wigan and it is expected he will leave The Britannia Stadium in the next few weeks.
