Dragan in no rush

Dragan Mladenovic is adamant he will not hurry out of Rangers.

Dragan Mladenovic is adamant he will not hurry out of Ibrox after being informed by Rangers that he can leave the club.

The Serbia & Montenegro international has been told he can find a new club, despite only joining the Scottish giants last summer.

He has struggled with injuries since his arrival in Glasgow and is now on the lookout for another team.

His agent has confirmed there have been talks with clubs in Germany and Russia, while there is also interest in the midfielder from The Premiership.

Mladenovic has even been put forwarded as a possible pawn in Rangers' bid to bring Blackburn Rovers ace Barry Ferguson back to Ibrox.

But Mladenovic insists he wants to stay with The Gers and play alongside Ferguson, after admitting he is waiting for guidance from manager Alex McLeish and the club's board.

"We had training today [Wednesday] but the manager didn't speak to me about this situation," Mladenovic told the Daily Record.

"I only know what I have read in the newspaper. All I can say is I'm happy at Rangers.

"Barry is a great player so I can have no arguments with the club for wanting to bring him back.

"I would like to stay and play beside him. I don't want to leave Rangers because I have a long contract.

"If someone else offers me a good contract on good terms then anything is possible but there are only a couple of days left before the transfer window shuts so there is not much time.

"If they want me to find a new club I will do that but I won't rush into changing clubs if I'm not happy with everything.

"I won't just go anywhere. It has to be right for me or I will stay."
