Roma chasing Cossato

Roma are believed to be keen on signing Chievo striker Federico Cossato.

Gillarossi boss Luigi Delneri is looking to bolster his attack after seeing Marco Delvecchio and Mido leave the club.

Cossato is thought to be Roma's top target with Delneri a big fan of the player having worked with him while in charge of Chievo.

Chievo claim they have not had any contact with Roma regarding Cossato, but hinted they could be willing to do a loan deal for the player.

"At the moment nobody has put in a request for Cossato," said Chievo director of sport Giovanni Sartori.

"If the move does go through, then it will not be the same process that brought Massimo Marazzina to Roma."
