Schalke deny Kuranyi talk
Schalke have denied reports that they are looking to sign Kevin Kuranyi.
Bundesliga title-chasers Schalke have denied reports that they are looking to sign Stuttgart striker Kevin Kuranyi in the summer.Media reports had claimed that Schalke bosses had spoken to the German international's agent during the recent charity match between Jurgen Klinsmann's team and the Bundesliga All Stars in Gelsenkirchen.
However, the Royal Blues' team manager Andreas Muller refuted any suggestion of a possible transfer deal.
"We were looking at Kevin in 2003, but since then we have had no contact with him or his agent," he said.
Kuranyi is contracted at the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion until 2008, but it is believed he will be given permission to leave should the Schwaben fail to qualify for the UEFA Champions League this season.
