Wayne Rooney will be relaxed ahead of his return to Goodison Park.
Wayne Rooney will be in a relaxed mood ahead of his first return to Everton at the weekend.
The Manchester United striker is in a rich vein of form and was voted man of the match for his performance in last weekend's derby win over Manchester City.
With the FA Cup fifth round tie next on the horizon, the teenager will be hoping to face the crowd that once adored him despite the possible availability of Louis Saha, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Alan Smith.
"I just laugh at it," he is quoted as saying in The Manchester Evening News.
"It is just fans being football fans and I would do the same if I was still in the crowd.
"I know when I go back to play Everton, I will get the same stuff shouted at me.
"It happens - that's football."
Minders are set to protect the England international and it remains to be seen whether Sir Alex Ferguson will decide to diplomatically rest his exciting forward.
With midfielder Darren Fletcher already ruled out, Ferguson has some thinking to do ahead of his team selection with the key UEFA Champions League tie with Milan being staged next Wednesday.
