Ronnie delight at Maldini praise
Ronaldinho is flattered by praise from iconic Milan star Paolo Maldini.
Ronaldinho has admitted he would relish the prospect of a move to Milan, and is flattered by praise from one of the Italian side's all-time greats, Paolo Maldini.Maldini recently heaped acclaim on the Brazilian schemer, claiming he would be the dream signing for Milan.
Speaking after Tuesday night's Tsunami charity game, Ronaldinho conceded he was delighted to attract such praise and insisted he would be happy to pull on the shirt of the rossoneri.
However, he was also quick to underline his happiness at current employers Barcelona.
"Knowing that a champion like Paolo Maldini has such an opinion about me makes me proud," he stated.
"His praise is a stimulus to work hard to try to be a player at the level he has always been.
"I'd willingly go to Milan, there are many champions. But now I'm a Barcelona player."
Milan vice president Adriano Galliani was quick to play down the possibility of 'Ronnie' moving to the club in the summer, insisting it would prove impossible to lure him from Camp Nou.
"He's a big player, he's nice and when we meet he says hello to me," Galliani added.
"But there are many players who have remained only dreams for Milan and Ronaldinho will be one of them, because he is not on sale."
