Brentford's veteran winger John Salako admits he has no immediate plans to retire from playing football.Salako joined The Bees in the summer on a free transfer after he was released by Reading.
The former England international concedes he was disappointed he was not offered the chance to stay in The Championship.
He has kept his career going at Griffin Park and has played a part in helping The Bees to the fifth round of the FA Cup and also to push for promotion from League One.
The 36-year-old feels there is a lot of expectation on his shoulders but he acknowledges he has no desire to hang up his boots while he still feels in good shape.
"When you come down to this level, you miss the big stage and you just enjoy the game for what it is," Salako told the Daily Mail.
"As long as someone is prepared to offer me a contract I will play. I don't think it's easier, the quality isn't there and it took a while to adjust.
"There is a lot of expectation because I'm John Salako, a high-profile name.
"I was massively disappointed that no one in The Championship offered me a contract and I find it weird when people ask me how long I'm going to play for.
"I'm still fit, enthusiastic about the game, so I want to play on."
