Sheffield Wednesday have lost the services of striker Adam Proudlock for the rest of the season. The former Wolves hit-man suffered a setback in his attempts to recover from a broken leg he sustained back in late November.
The 23-year-old requires further treatment on the injury that will rule him out for the remainder of the current campaign.
"It's bad news - a huge blow to the football club," Owls boss Paul Sturrock told the club's official website.
"Adam's had a scan and his leg is not healing the way we would like it to heal.
"We've waited a long time to get that type of player back and were all obviously very disappointed for him."
