Nolberto Solano was surprised to hear of Newcastle's attempt to try and re-sign him.
Nolberto Solano was surprised to hear of Newcastle's attempt to try and re-sign him back in January, but insists he is happy at Aston Villa.The Peruvian winger was targeted by Graeme Souness in the January transfer window, but insists he is happy at Villa Park.
"I'm happy at Villa," Solano told the club's website.
"I was surprised when I heard what Mr Souness had said during Tuesday's radio interview because I wasn't aware Newcastle tried to buy me back.
"I am happy at Villa and playing every week. I am settled at Villa now and the manager has told me he is trying to build a talented and exciting squad here."
