Bayern secure Guerrero

Peruvian youngster Paolo Guerrero has committed his future to Bayern Munich.

Peruvian hit-man Paolo Guerrero has committed his future to Bayern Munich by signing a contract until 2008.

The 21-year-old, who has scored six goals in nine Bundesliga matches, has agreed a two-year extension to his current contract.

"He wasn't adequately paid as an amateur," admitted Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

"Many clubs throughout Europe were after him, so we decided to tie him to Bayern for longer."

Meanwhile, Rummenigge admitted that talks with Croatian defender Robert Kovac and Brazilian midfielder Ze Roberto had, as yet, failed to achieve results.

"There is no point in denying the fact that we haven't been able to agree on financial details as yet," said Rummenigge.
