Domenico Morfeo has urged Parma to sign him on a permanent basis from Internazionale. The attacking midfielder is spending the season on loan at Ennio Tardini and has impressed for the Serie A strugglers.
The 29-year-old is keen to stay with the Gialloblu and has already taken a pay cut to join the club on loan.
Morfeo feels at home with Parma and hopes an accord can be reached to enable him to stay with the club.
"To stay here I cut my salary by 30-40 percent," Morfeo told Gazzetta dello Sport. "And I don't say it only to be applauded. I felt it, nothing else.
"This year I hoped the loan from Inter could be renewed and to do this I cut my salary.
"I had already given my word to stay here because we feel good, because we understand each other and because there are people with whom I live in a good way.
"I have a contract until 2007 and there are two possibilities. Either I will leave or Parma will buy me. I'd like to continue here."
The stumbling block to any offer for Morfeo is Parma's inability to find a buyer for the club, something which may not be remedied until their Serie A fate is known.
