Puyol slams 'worst' Chelsea
Barcelona's Carles Puyol has aimed another jibe at Chelsea.
Barcelona's Carles Puyol has aimed another jibe at Chelsea, suggesting that they are the worst team to play at Camp Nou this season in the UEFA Champions League.Talking exclusively to skysports.com, Barca star Puyol insists that Celtic were a better team than The Blues, ahead of their second leg match this week.
"Personally speaking, this Chelsea is the worst European team that has played at Camp Nou in this Champions League," said Puyol.
"They are worse than the Celtic side we played in the first round.
"Mourinho arrived full of superiority but returned with his head bowed.
"I sense that we put a real dent in his pride.
"I wasn't at my best against Chelsea - I was trying to add some bite and I suffered when they went to an ultra-defensive system after the dismissal.
"A fair result from the first game would have been a 5-2 win for Barcelona. The victory was good but we really didn't want to concede a goal in the first leg."
Much of the focus has been on whether Arjen Robben will be fit to feature for Chelsea - but Puyol is not too worried.
"I'm not preoccupied by whether Robben plays or not," added Puyol. "We have better players than the Dutchman."
