Posh bag striker, reject bids

Peterborough have signed Fola Onibuje but rejected bids for two of their players.

Peterborough United have snapped up striker Fola Onibuje but have rejected bids for Calum Willock and Curtis Woodhouse.

Onibuje has signed for The Posh on non-contract forms after securing his release from fellow League One club Barnsley.

He did not particularly shine for Peterborough's reserve team earlier this week but that has not stopped manager Barry Fry from adding the forward to his squad as cover.

Meanwhile, Fry has snubbed an offer from an unknown Championship club for Woodhouse, while Brentford and Colchester United have failed in bids for Willock (pictured).

Woodhouse was the subject of a six-figure offer from a team in The Championship but that has been dismissed by Fry.

The departing Posh boss has also shunned deadline day bids from Brentford and Colchester for striker Willock, who has also been interesting Oldham Athletic.

Fry told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "Brentford manager Martin Allen came on the phone yesterday about Calum as well, while Oldham boss Ronnie Moore made contact last week.

"Colchester have already offered more than that (£50,000). They've been very persistent but I've rejected every bid and I will keep doing so until they can reach my valuation."

Willock's price tag is towards the £500,000 mark and that is unlikely to be matched by any of his suitors.
