Northampton Town have released midfielder Ryan Amoo from his contract.
Northampton Town have released midfielder Ryan Amoo from his contract at The Sixfields Stadium.The 21-year-old joined the League Two club from Aston Villa on a 15-month contract just over a year ago.
Amoo has made just six appearances in his time with The Cobblers and manager Colin Calderwood has decided he is surplus to requirements.
"Ryan's chances have been limited here in recent months," Calderwood told the club's official website.
"He has been unlucky, but competition for places throughout the side is extremely tough.
"We wish him well for the future and hopefully by releasing Ryan now, he will have a chance to get himself fixed up elsewhere for next season."
