Italian goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini admits his future is in Chelsea's hands.
Carlo Cudicini admits he would be tempted by a summer move to Roma, as he waits for Chelsea to decide upon his future.The Italian goalkeeper has lost the number one jersey at Stamford Bridge this season to the mightily impressive Petr Cech.
Cudicini has made just eight appearances for The Blues, none of which have been in The Premiership, while he was robbed of an outing in the Carling Cup final due to suspension.
The 31-year-old would likely walk into any other Premiership side and has been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United, who have both endured goalkeeping problems this season.
He has not received any offers to end his six-year association with The Blues, but he is becoming increasingly inclined to leave the club in the summer.
Cudicini is anxious for first team football, but concedes his fate rests with Chelsea, although a return to Italy with Roma would please the shot-stopper.
"Life isn't the same as before," Cudicini told Corriere dello Sport.
"I don't want to say it's bad, because whoever does this job hasn't the right to complain, but the certainty is that any player can't feel realised in himself if he is not playing with continuity.
"Cech is doing good things. As for myself, I can't do a lot.
"I have a contract until 2008. My future is in Chelsea's, Mourinho's and Mr Abramovich's hands.
"I know nothing [about the speculation] and I repeat, my destiny will be decided by Chelsea.
"Roma? It's an idea I like the same as all the other ones that will allow me to come back to playing.
"But I repeat, personally I haven't had contacts with other clubs.
"For my future I exclude nothing, maybe I could go to Spain."
