Paul Scholes insists he harbours no regrets about his decision to retire from international football. The Manchester United midfielder quit the England fold after last summer's European Championship in Portugal.
Scholes scored 14 goals in 66 appearances for The Three Lions and there have been calls for the attack-minded midfielder to review his decision.
England coach Sven Goran Eriksson has already asked Scholes to reconsider and the Swede has not ruled out badgering the 30-year-old to change his mind in the future.
But Scholes has no plans to come back into the England set-up, despite conceding he does miss being involved with the national team.
"I still feel I've made the right decision," Scholes told MUTV.
"Obviously when you see the team playing you do miss a little bit of the actual game.
"But I've not changed my mind.
"It's nice to know you're still wanted.
"But as I say I'm happy with what I did and that's just the way it is."
Scholes' loss to England has been The Red Devils' gain and the midfielder has noticed an improvement in his condition this season.
"It's quite difficult to tell," he added, "but I do feel a little bit fresher."
