Adaggio signs Shrews deal

Shrewsbury have handed youth striker Marco Adaggio a two-year contract.

Shrewsbury have handed youth striker Marco Adaggio a two-year professional contract.

The teenager caught the eye with the club's youth set-up and was thrust into the first team squad recently by manager Gary Peters.

Peters was thrilled with the way Adaggio took to working with the senior players and had no hesitation in offering him a professional deal.

"We feel it's right for him not to have to worry if he'll get signed on a contract or not," Peters told the club's website.

"We've had him with the first team now and feel that it's right to sign Marco on a pro contract.

"He's impressed me and I would have no worries about playing Marco in the side."
