Hedman considers retirement

Celtic goalkeeper Magnus Hedman is considering hanging up his gloves.

Celtic goalkeeper Magnus Hedman is considering hanging up his gloves because of family difficulties.

The Swedish custodian's wife Magdalena Graaf has recently asked for divorce, leaving Hedman to reconsider his career.

The 32-year-old admits that finding motivation is proving to be difficult but does concede that he still holds a passion for former club AIK.

"I will try to get through this season." Hedman told Expressen.

"Then, I will take a new decision. I don't know if I have got the strength to continue.

"My football career is not important. The thoughts are with the family, the children and their future.

"If I shall continue with my football career, I need to be motivated to stay at the top level.

"If I return to Sweden and play football, there is only one club and that is AIK."
