Tottenham defender Erik Edman has admitted he was thrilled with his wonder goal.
Tottenham defender Erik Edman has admitted he was thrilled with his wonder goal against Liverpool on Saturday.The Swede fired in a blockbuster from around 40 yards which left Jerzy Dudek a stunned spectator and the defender has admitted he did not realise he was so far from goal when letting fly.
"I didn't think that I was as far out as I was," Edman told Sportbladet.
"When I saw the goal on television afterwards, I was surprised. I thought I was closer to the goal and thought it was a good idea to shoot."
Edman's effort dealt a blow to Liverpool's hopes of securing fourth place, but the defender claims he was delighted to net at Anfield.
"It feels really good," he added. "To score such a goal away against Liverpool, it's fantastic."
