Warnock blasts referee Foy
Neil Warnock has blasted referee Chris Foy for missing Adam Bolder's bad tackle.
Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock has blasted referee Chris Foy for overlooking Adam Bolder's horror tackle on Blades captain Chris Morgan.Warnock watched his side's play-off chances take a setback, as Morten Bisgaard's second half strike gave The Rams a 1-0 win on Friday evening.
The Bramall Lane manager was left fuming after Foy failed to see anything wrong in Bolder's challenge when in a seemingly prime position to make a decision.
The Derby substitute looked to have come over the top of the ball with his right foot and connect with Morgan's leg (pictured) in a dangerous fashion.
The Blades skipper was able to escape serious injury, but the incident enraged Warnock, who was particularly upset with Foy's reaction to the challenge and his subsequent decision to blow down a foul throw-in.
"I'd like a referee that sees a broken leg tackle," an angry Warnock told Sky Sports.
"He [Foy] can't even see a tackle like that. He can see a foul throw and he can't see Bolder's tackle on Morgan.
"He wants to have a look at it, him, instead of laughing his head off.
"It's not funny in my eyes, that.
"Referees at this level should see them tackles and you wonder why I get annoyed when a lad could break his leg and then he goes and gives a foul throw.
"It makes me sick."
With three matches left in their campaign, Warnock admitted they will likely need to win every one of them in order to finish in the top six.
"We're points behind now, we have to win every game now," he added.
Derby boss George Burley, however, was delighted with his side's ability to claim another win away from home.
"Overall, I think we've created the most chances," Burley said.
"We're pleased. It was a game where, at times, we never got our passing going, but Sheffield United put us under pressure.
"But, overall, it was another outstanding away performance."
