Rundle pens Stags deal
Mansfield Town have signed winger Adam Rundle to one-year deal at Field Mill.
Mansfield Town have signed winger Adam Rundle to one-year contract at Field Mill. The 20-year-old joined the Nottinghamshire-based club on a short-term deal from Dublin City back in January.
The former Carlisle United player has penned a one-year deal, with an option for another year with the League Two club.
Despite suggestions that he may be moving on in the summer, Stags boss Carlton Palmer confirmed Rundle's commitment to Field Mill.
"Adam was always going to sign for Mansfield and for me - it was never an argument," Palmer told the club's official website.
"Obviously, he's come in and done well and that has attracted attention from elsewhere.
"Adam is a very important part of what we are doing here. He is raw and that rawness gives you a bit of the unexpected, which is exciting."
Palmer, meanwhile, is keen to boost his attack for next season, but a return of former hit-man Chris Greenacre has been ruled out.
"I want at least one with a proven scoring record at this level," Palmer added.
"Then, I want a couple of younger prospects who might get us 10-12 goals apiece.
"If you have four strikers scoring 60 between them then you are nearly there."
