New deal for Fortune-West

Doncaster Rovers have signed striker Leo Fortune-West to a new one-year contract.

Doncaster Rovers have signed striker Leo Fortune-West to a new contract for next season.

The former Brentford, Rotherham United and Cardiff City hit-man was due to be out of contract in the summer.

However, Belle Vue boss Dave Penney was keen to keep the 26-year-old in South Yorkshire, should he prove fitness for the League One side.

Fortune-West has succeeded in meeting his club's criteria and has been rewarded with a 12-month extension.

Penney was pleased to keep the physical presence that the tall striker brings to his Donny side.

"He gives us another dimension to our game when we need it and would have done against some of the sides who bullied us out of the games," Penney told the club's official website.
