Lippi considering Lucarelli

Italy coach Marcello Lippi has talked about Livorno's Cristiano Lucarelli.

Lippi appears to have grown tired of various demands for Lucarelli's inclusion, insisting that he has taken note of the Livorno striker's form and will be considering him in the future.

"Let's forget the suggestions of so many presidents and sporting directors," urged Lippi.

"Cristiano Lucarelli is having a fine season and I'm following him - along with many other players.

"The fact that our league has so many good Italian players performing is good news, but I can't call up all of them.

"Lucarelli must be ready and keep up his level of performance. There is certainly no bias against him."
